Instructions for Friday 1-22-2010

Everyone:

8:00-8:15

1. Open Word

2. Set your font to 22 Points

3. Turn on your cap locks

4. Turn on the 123 button

5. Practice typing in A-Z (Your goal is to be able to do this with your hands covered)

6. Extra finger charts are at the front of the room

8:15 Your substitute will ring the bell.

1. Click your top x

2. Click no

3. Wait at your desktop until she instructs you to complete the set-up above

4. When set up again, wait until she says 1,2,3 start

5. You will type as many ABC's in two minutes as you can with your hands covered.

6. When the timer dings, stop right away.

7. Do not touch the keys

8. If you absolutely cannot type with your hands covered, you will not be apart of the winning pool.

9. Students who lift their keyboard covers up to type letters will be out of the winning pool.

10. Be sure that your Z's are lined up and each line is correct. Only students with correct ABC's may win the competition.

11. There will be two rounds

12. The overall winner will get to choose from a
    - A brand new Hawaiian quarter
    - A chance to pull from a fan of school money
    - Two pieces of candy

13. Students with five or more lines of ABC's with your hands covered may be free

14. Everyone else, practice in Mavis Beacon
