Plains can be found almost anywhere. They are basically a flat area of land. The United States has various plains. Probably the most famous of America's plain is The Great Plains. The early pioneers traveled across these plains while settling America. The Great Plains extend from Montana, North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas.
