Mountains are found all over the world. They are most usually found in groups called ranges.  The tallest mountain in the world is Mount Everest. Mountains do affect the weather. The United States has two large mountain ranges one on the west side of the country the Rocky Mountains, and another in the east side of the country the Appalachian Mountains (Smoky Mountains).
